The Texan Doctor goes Native.

I’ve been noticing a change lately. The scam artists are appealing more to altruism and to people’s willingness to do a good deed than they are to greed and lust. I find myself being far more impatient the more I chat with them. This one tells me they were born in 1982 and were about to turn 24, well unless I lost a year somewhere they would be turning 23. They are a doctor from Baylor, imagine to have your medical degree at 22 a regular Doogie Howser! Of course the fact that the had not the vaguest idea where Baylor was, though to be fair I wasn’t sure either, looking later I did realize the med school is in Houston and the main campus is in Waco, but then if you had actually been there you would have corrected me. I thought this one had given up before the scam. But in fact as I was writing this, they came back. It gave me an opportunity to pummel away again, but they did make their pitch, for a new cell phone. It was almost as though they got told by their supervisor to go back and make the pitch.

Imagine the dedication to finish medical school at 22 but instead of practicing medicine you go work in your dad’s store in Nigeria. Loyalty to dad is something you just don’t see anymore.
